Monica Perusquía-Hernández received the BSc degree in electronic systems engineering (2009) from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico; the MSc degree in human-technology interaction (2012) and the professional doctorate in engineering in user-system interaction (2014) from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands. In 2018, she obtained the Ph.D. degree in Human Informatics from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. Her research interests are affective computing, biosignal processing, augmented human technology, and artificial intelligence. As Research Associate at NTT Communication Science Laboratories, she is currently working on three main projects: automatic facial expression identification, human navigation modeling, and robot mirroring.
